How do I prep kale to cook?

Kale has become a popular vegetable in various dishes due to its impressive nutrient content. Its rich antioxidant properties and high levels of vitamins A, C, and K make it an excellent food for maintaining good health.

When cooking kale, the first step is to wash and dry the leaves thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris.

Once the kale is clean, it should be cut into bite-sized pieces to help it cook evenly. Lightly toss the kale in olive oil or your preferred cooking oil and season it with spices of your choice, such as garlic powder, ground pepper, or paprika. Arrange the kale in a single layer on the baking sheet or the air fryer.

Once done, it is best served immediately and can be enjoyed as a tasty, nutrient-rich snack or a delicious side dish.

Why are my kale chips not crispy?

You are not alone if you have attempted to make kale chips and found that they come out limp and soggy rather than crispy. Kale chips can be a delicious and healthy snack alternative, but their texture can vary greatly depending on the preparation method.

When attempting to achieve a crispy outcome, several factors must be considered. Firstly, ensuring the kale leaves are completely dry before baking is important. Any remaining moisture can lead to a less-than-crispy result.

Additionally, the oven temperature and cooking time may need to be adjusted to suit the specific type of oven used.

Considering these factors and experimenting until finding the right combination, it is possible to have perfectly crispy kale chips every time.
